Walking

My feet have been taking me to amazing places. It's all their fault. How about you? Where are your feet taking you?

I am a walker. All my best thinking happens when I walk. Dots are connected, flashes of memories show up and new ideas, too. It’s all done while my feet are moving.

Evening is the best time for me, and I usually go three to four miles. I never wear earbuds, because I want to hear the birds, the wind, the people. I usually walk alone.

It's exercise, yes, but more than that. My walks are a time when I pray about my family, my friends, my life. I am often surprised by things - a family of dear, a rabbit, the smell of a wood burning stove.

Peripateo is about walking and living, thinking and praying, trying and learning. This blog is about what comes to mind as I walk through my life.
